Welcome to Junky Monday Roundup. Here is where I dish on the best junky finds after a trip to my favorite shopping place. The curb. One man’s trash is this chic’s treasure and I’m bringing it to you every week. Stick around until Transformation Tuesday to see how I glam the stuff up.
I wasn’t planning to junk this week. We just celebrated Cupcake’s 1st birthday and the weekend was full of celebratory delight and traditional firsts, so the opportunity to junk was slim. However, the Junk Universe is often kind and shines down on me as it did this morning on my way out. I spotted these little goodies:
1. Old wooden frames: I just zapped a bunch of outdated frames and they turned out fabulous. I used lots of them as party décor this past weekend. I was just thinking how I wished I had more oval shapes. Bingo.
2. Mesh sifter: I have been wanting to get one of these for a while now and always forget to snag one while I’m at the store. I really need it when I mix my chalk paint to sift out those pesky larger flakes of plaster to keep my paint smooth. Score!
3. Calligraphy Set: I couldn’t leave this on the street. Princess would have so much fun with this set, so home it came.
It never matters what a thing starts its life out as. What’s fun and interesting is finding another use for it to prolong that life.
One man’s trash, is this chic’s treasure and today I am a rich girl.
That’s it for this week’s roundup.
