Salted Caramel Chocolate Toffee & Peanut Butter Bars

Salted Caramel Chocolate Toffee & Peanut Butter Bars

This weekend I played around in the kitchen making a dessert with what I had on hand {too lazy to go to the store}.  I decided I had just enough of this and that to put it all together for my experiment dessert.  Well, it was delicious and I wish I had taken a picture to go with the recipe I am sharing.
The family had a bit this weekend before I deemed them seriously dangerous and took them to my mom’s group this morning to tempt them.  Thankfully, the plate was clean and I didn’t have to bring any home where I would surely eat them all!

Ingredients:

2 sleeves of saltines
2 sleeves of graham crackers
2 sticks of butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
1/4 cup toffee bits
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/3 cup pretzels

1.  Start by layering a *9×13 pan completely with saltines.  They should be touching but not overlapping.
2.  In food processor, break down graham crackers until fine.
3.  Melt butter in sauce pan.
4.  Add in graham cracker crumbs, milk, brown sugar, and sugar.
5.  Boil mixture on medium for 10 minutes.
6.  Remove from heat and immediately pour half of mixture over crackers spreading it evenly.
7.  Add another complete layer of saltines.
8.  Pour remaining mixture over second layer of saltines, spreading it to make it even.
9.  Place pretzels in a baggie and take the back of a measuring cup and beat them down until they are yummy, salty little bits.
10.  Pour pretzel bits evening over gooey layer.
11.  Melt chocolate, toffee bits, and peanut butter together until smooth.
12.  Pour chocolate mixture on the top of pretzel layer.

Chill in fridge for about 2 hours.  Cut, and enjoy.

*For easy removal, line your pan with wax paper. Once chilled, lift out, turn them out, peel off paper, and cut to squares.
