Transformation Tuesday {Hand Lettered Signs}

Welcome to Transformation Tuesday, a place where Monday’s junk is transformed into glammed up treasures.  I collect lots of goodies on Mondays, but one of my favorites is tossed out wood.  I find lots of good unfinished wooden boards left over from projects or builds that are perfect for distressed signs.  If I see them, I always scoop them up and toss in my wood pile until I find a {re}purpose for them.

The weeks leading up to Christmas were spent hand lettering signs as gifts for some of my friends and family.  Once I got started, I had so much fun that it was hard to stop.  I was working on them right up until Christmas Eve and had to finally call it quits.

Here are some of the gorgeous pieces I created from tossed out wooden boards.  The next time you spot some wood on the curb, you might give it a second look!

I am so in love with the “Every little thing is gonna be alright” sign that I made for my brother and sister-in-law, that I am working on one for myself.  Quite possibly the Texas “Home” sign as well.  Eek!

That wraps up this installment of Transformation Tuesday. As you can see, I try to keep as much as I part with. Such is the life of a junker like me. Stay tuned for my next segment of Transformation Tuesday.

For more junkin’ pleasure, check out my Junky Monday Roundup posts to keep tabs on what I score from week to week. Until next time.
